A plough blessing service will be held in St. Denis parish church in Morton near Fiskerton, Notts. at 10:30 am, followed by a short dance display and plough play outside The Full Moon Inn, Morton.
After this Sullivan’s Sword travel to Southwell, where they will be joined by guest dance teams from Bare Bones Border Morris, Lord Conyers Morris Men, Mortimer’s Morris, Greenwood Clog, Lady Bay Revellers, Ripley Green Garters and the Maids of Clifton. There will be displays of traditional dance taking place concurrently at The Admiral Rodney and The Hearty Goodfellow. Dancing will continue until at least 3pm, with a break for lunch.
The Farnsfield Plough Play will also be performed by Sullivan’s Sword; once at around mid-day in Morton, and again at 12:30pm at The Hearty Goodfellow, Southwell.
This year we will be fundraising for the John Eastwood Hospice in Sutton-in-Ashfield. Leading the way in palliative care services this is the worthy organisation nominated by the family of our good friend and colleague, Ade Button, who sadly passed away in December.
